DESCRIPTION:TSMC Arizona (TSMC AZ) collaborates with national and regional partners in the development\, implementation\, administration\, and monitoring of its training programs\, such as Apprenticeship and Intensive Pathways. The Intensive Pathway creates the opportunity for students to receive related technical instruction that is aligned to TSMC AZ standards for a role and can help prepare them for potential employment. The program has been designed with education partners to deliver a strategic Intensive Pathway over approximately 11 weeks. The Manufacturing Specialist Intensive Pathway is designed to prepare students to enter into the Manufacturing department of the semiconductor industry with basic preparation and skills\, if they meet minimum requirements. \nPathway Participant Profile \n\nArizona high school juniors and seniors (applicants under the age of 18 will require a parent or guardian signature upon admittance into the summer class; any junior admitted into the program must be able to complete the full term from June 2-August 14\, so school schedules must be considered)\nBasic desktop computer skills & knowledge of Microsoft Office applications\nAble to type 25+ words per minute\nAvailability for on-site classes at Grand Canyon University\nExcellent attendance habits and able to attend all courses:\n\nJune 2 – July 3; Monday-Thursday\, 1-7 PM\nJuly 7- July 11 will be on-site learning at TSMC; no classes at GCU\nJuly 14 – August 15; Monday-Thursday\, 1-7 Pm\n\n\n\nHow do I obtain a full-time Job after the Summer Session? \nManufacturing Specialist Minimum Requirements & Eligibility \n\nIn order to be considered for an offer of a full time position from TSMC\, students must meet the following minimum requirements and eligibility:\n\nSatisfactory completion of the Manufacturing Specialist Intensive Pathway (Summer Semi Learning Academy)\nMust be at least 18 years old (a job offer may be offered prior to 18 years of age\, however onboarding/start date must be after minimum age requirement is met)\nLegally eligible to work in the United States without Visa sponsorship\nHigh School Diploma or G.E.D\nUpdated resume\nBackground check and drug test clearance prior to first day of employment
