This month we are proud to have Dr. Joyce Jamerson as our expert!
Dr. Joyce Jamerson is a servant leader who has dedicated over 25 years to supporting students, families, educators, and educational leaders in various roles (teacher, literacy coach, administrator, program director, college instructor, professional learning specialist, and author). Because literacy has been an essential factor in Dr. Jamerson’s success of becoming a dream catcher, she is passionate about sharing the power of literacy as tool for living a truly liberated life with others. Dr. J has presented at international, state, and local conferences as well as been invited to serve as a keynote speaker for various organization events. She has worked to increase student achievement by increasing the instructional leadership capacity of educational leaders, the teaching and learning efficacy of educators, and the quality of family and community partnerships. She has received several awards for her professional accomplishments and service to the profession (National Writing Project, International Literacy Association, Ball State University, and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.). In her current position as National Director of Academic Planning & Solution Development for Scholastic, she seeks to share her joy, knowledge, and diverse range of experience as an invested thought partner – coming to the table to listen, discuss problems of practice, craft strategic plans that align with the vision of educational leaders, and celebrate success!
